A slice of the Gironde high up in the Andes mountains, Bodega DiamAndes was set up in 2005 by the esteemed Bonnie Family. This is another very successful project from an established Bordeaux dynasty who have been committed to organic farming since 2019, proudly earning certifications for sustainability and vegan practices along the way. This selection of their wines display the very best of the regions picturesque vineyards with wines of real intensity and finesse, and superb value too.

Bodega DiamAndes’ Uco Valley Viognier and Perlita Chardonnay are varieties not often associated with Argentina but wines which we are big fans of! The mix of white wines is completed with the inclusion of the Uco Grande Reserve Chardonnay, which has enjoyed excellent critic reviews and been described as a “well-executed, classical wine” by Vinous’ leading South American critic Joaquín Hidalgo. With summer just around the corner, a trusty accompaniment to the BBQ is needed, for which you’ll find their Uco Malbec is perfect, whilst their Cabernet Franc and Syrah are a strong addition to any collection of South American wines.

“This has an attractive nose of salted pineapple, cream, apricots, honeysuckle and nutmeg. Medium- to full-bodied, with fresh acidity and creamy layers of fresh fruit. Spicy, too.“

“Black beans, dark olives, grilled herbs, blackberries and cedar wood on the nose, following through to a full-bodied palate with dark olives and blackberries and very creamy, polished tannins. Fresh, with medium acidity and a lingering finish.“
