Bourgogne Blanc, Domaine Sylvain Bzikot, 2020

When Sylvain’s Grandfather came to Burgundy from Poland just before the WW2, he assembled an estate one parcel at a time, initially in Meursault and then around Puligny. As Sylvain took over in the 1990s he moved away from selling the grapes to negociants to bottling under his own label.

With 15 hectares around the appellation of Puligny, Sylvain and his son, Quentin make some beautifully elegant, terroir focuses wines. Employing a barrel fermented technique, Sylvain brings out extra depth of fruit and terroir expression that elevates his village wines to ethereal heights. This is a truly exciting producer we are very excited to have added to our list.
