“For those who can no longer accompany every dinner with a bottle of Château Lafite Rothschild, there is always this Argentinean estate, Bodegas Caro, which offers high quality wines at far more affordable prices.” Neal Martin
Caro has long been a connoisseur’s choice which, like many of Argentina’s successful projects, captures the high-altitude climate of Mendoza through the lens of Bordeaux’s art of the blend. This is achieved from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, and the Uco Valley at up to 950m and 1600m above sea level respectively, and operations in the winery overseen by Olivier Trégoat, technical director of Château L’Évangile and Château Rieussec.
